This special event was originally scheduled to take place on 2nd April and the excitement was high in the country. Sadly, the fest had to be postponed to 4th April due to the death of UAE’s Finance minister for 50 years Hamdan bin Rashid.
On 4th April, the residents of UAE were given access to the virtual fest where popular korean artists like Mamamoo, B.I.G, Astro, NCT Dream, The Boyz performed and wished UAE a successful EXO 20201 and celebrating the Golden Jubliee.
Emirati opera singer Fatima Al Hashmi also graced the occasion with her presence.
The concert is a part of the Korea-UAE K-Content Festival and is a celebration of 40 years of friendship and support between the two countries.
Hwang Hee, the Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Sports for South Korea let the world know that UAE and Korea have maintained good cultural trade relationships and have been friends for almost 40 years. He also mentioned that this event was aimed at maintaining strong bonds with the Arab world.
