Ready to premiere on the 27th July, on Jio Cinema, the makers says, “An intense crime series set against the backdrop of a horrifying acid attack case, the story involves around Ravi Tripathi, a sub-inspector in the town of Thana Sarsi. Initially lacking interest in his job, Ravi’s perspective changes when he discovers that the victim of the brutal attack, Parul, is the same girl his mother wanted him to marry. Driven by profound purpose, Ravi takes it upon himself to investigate the crime and find the person responsible. Along the way, he confronts gender biases, toxic masculinity and social expectations that hinder his pursuit of justice.”
Actor Shweta says, “As I embodied the role of an acid attack survivor, the gravity of the character and narrative grew more tangible with each passing moment. During the make up test, a profound and vulnerable instance occurred when I beheld my transformed appearance as the survivor.”
The tagline of the series is, “A man of the system, against the system.” I am sure this one will be thought provoking and delve deep into things in life we often overlook.
