Kamal Haasan remembers Crazy Mohan on his second death anniversary

South superstar Kamal Hassan took to social media today, June 10 to remember his friend and veteran dialogue writer and dramatist Crazy Mohan on his second death anniversary. The actor shared a throwback photo and spoke about his contribution to theatre.

Kamal took to Twitter and tweeted in Tamil which is loosely translated as, “In times when they say that the world is a theatre, he changed it to say that the world is a comedy play. He is someone who delivered serious philosophy under the veil of humor. He lived and died like the sky. Remembering him on his second death anniversary.”

The two have worked together in many blockbuster hits including Avvai Shanmugi, Kama Rajan, Michael Madhana, Apoora Sagodhararagal, Panchathanthiram, and Vasool Raja MBBS among others.

Crazy Mohan was an actor, screenwriter, comedian, and playwriter. He passed away at the age of 67 on June 10, 2019, after suffering a massive cardiac arrest. Mohan was an engineer by profession and later he started to write plays. He also established his drama troupe called Crazy Creations in 1979.

In his 30 years of career, he had written over 100 short stories and 30 plays. For his contribution in the field of arts and literature, the Tamil Nadu government had honored him with the Kalaimamani award in 2004.
