The businessman is under judicial custody by the court and an investigation is undergoing on his involvement in the film racket. Now, Karan Kundrra has got himself into a cumbersome situation after his name and photograph was used in place of Raj Kundra, who is arrested for his alleged connection with a pornography case. Now, the actor opened up and said the mistake is funny yet frustrating.
Recently in a conversation with Hindustan Times, the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor said that many people misunderstood his name in the ongoing controversy, and it took him a while to understand what had happened and why he is getting tagged. “Not just my picture, some also used my name. When I woke up and opened my Twitter, I saw a lot of people had thought that it was actually me who was caught in the controversy, and were tweeting about it while tagging me. It took me a while to figure out what actually happened, and that it was Raj Kundra,” said Karan.
He woke up reading the headline, ‘Karan Kundrra arrested for making porn films’. The actor said he was wondering that why people are using his name in the controversy.
Mentioning his ordeal on the misunderstood controversy, Karan said, “Some thought that it was a mistake, some thought that the person in question is me. There were some who started abusing me. They started tagging me and replying on Twitter, with my fans correcting them.
Further, he also mentioned the earlier people referred him as Shilpa Shetty’s husband. “This has happened before as well when someone called me Shilpa Shetty’s husband, which was taken in a lighter manner. Initially, it was quite amusing, but later on I was quite ticked off by it. That was quite funny and frustrating at the same time” Karan added.
The 36-year-old actor is worried that this misunderstood controversies might impact goof up on his career and that due to the Google era the gaffe is going to live the mark on his name. I’m worried about the people who might not read the subsequent piece. That is detrimental to my image,” said Karan.
