Balaji Telefilms’ Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki was Karan Patel’s debut show.
In addition he has also acted in a few films. Namely – City of Gold, Shootout at Wadala and Phamous.
He was last seen essaying the character of Rishabh Bajaj in Star Plus’ Kasautii Zindagii Kay.
He has also hosted shows like Kaho Na Yaar Hai, Gumrah Season 5 and Nach Baliye 7.
The actor is very popular with the television viewing audience.
Recently in an interview with Hindustan Times the actor spoke about his web show and also about trying his luck in films.
Talking about auditioning for films, the actor says, “things don’t happen that easily as maybe producer directors have a mind-set or a mental block about TV actors, their calibre and being overexposed.
Maybe someday they will change their mind.”
Further Karan Patel highlights the challenge as an actor he is facing and also about breaking the stigma that TV actors cannot be film stars.
“For me, as an actor, today the challenge is to find work on the big screen; to break the stigma that TV actors can’t become film stars.
I am not disheartened as one should keep trying and not everyone is lucky to get a break in one go, some take years, some take months while some get it instantly.
Each one has to keep trying in their capacity till they strike.”
In addition, Raktanchal is going to be Karan Patel’s debut web show. Talking about the series, he adds,
“Season 1 was well appreciated and I loved the way the show was presented.
The show worked purely on content and there were no gimmicks to sell the show, I liked that.
For season 2, I loved the character that they offered and the story, and I am going to Varanasi to shoot next week.”
