The movie Merry Christmas has been shot in two languages- Hindi and Tamil and is due to release on the 15th December. Directed by Sriram Raghavan, the new posters are out and this one looks like a thriller. In the posters, Katrina and Vijay look solemn and there is a taxi with a quote, “Raat jitni saangeen hogi, subaha utni rangeen hogi.”
This is Sriram’s first film since the award-winning Andhadhun and this one also looks to be a thriller. The Hindi version has Sanjay Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, Pratima Kannan and Tinnu Anand and the Tamil version has Radhika Sarathkumar, Jay Babu, Rajesh Williams and others.
Merry Christmas movie has kept us waiting for long. The movie was earlier due to release in December 2022. A reliable source states, “The plans went haywire after Katrina Kaif tested positive for Covid 19 in June. A very important schedule spanning nearly 30 days, was lined up featuring not just Katrina Kaif and co-star Vijay Sethupathi but the other actors as well. After Katrina tested positive, it took a while for the makers to schedule and get the dates of everyone.”
The movie will clash with Yodha, an action movie starring Siddharth Malhotra, Disha Patani and Raashii Khanna and this is one of Karan Johar’s first action venture.
We are highly anticipating the release of both movies and hoping they will bring cheer and joy to the Christmas festivities. One a suspense genre, the other action, may the best one win!!!
