Lata Mangeshkar’s 92nd birthday is celebrated with family, as Bollywood showers her with love and well wishes

Lata Mangeshkar began her career in 1942 at the age of 13 and has since performed over 25,000 songs in various languages. Usha Mangeshkar, her younger sister and a performer, said there are no extravagant arrangements for her birthday.

Lata Mangeshkar, the legendary singer, turned 92 on Tuesday and wants to celebrate with her family in a low-key manner. Lata Mangeshkar, also known as the Queen of Melody and India’s Nightingale, began her career at the age of 13 in 1942 and has since performed over 25,000 songs in various languages. Usha Mangeshkar, her younger sister and a performer, said there are no extravagant arrangements for her birthday.

In a tweet, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his wishes for Mangeshkar to have a long and healthy life.

 

“Congratulations on your birthday, respected Lata Didi. Her beautiful voice may be heard all around the world. She is admired for her humility and enthusiasm for Indian culture. Her blessings are a wonderful source of strength for me. In a tweet, Modi stated, “I wish for Lata Didi’s long and healthy life.”

Dharmendra, a veteran actor, wished her good health and happiness. “Wishing you a very happy birthday, darling Lata ji. He commented with a photo of himself with Lata Mangeshkar, “World’s greatest adored singer, my darling Lata ji, may you stay healthy and happy always.”

Lata Mangeshkar’s birthday, according to veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar, is an occasion for the whole country to rejoice. “On your birthday, Lata ji, I wish the whole nation. “How fortunate we are to have Lata Mangeshkar in our lives,” Akhtar remarked.
