As the scorching season started, our skin screams for more protection from heat, dust, dirt, pollution, humidity that wipes off the entire natural glow from the skin.

Indian summer season is pretty harsh on the skin. Too much of sun is bad for the skin, it not only tan your skin but over exposure to sun rays results in premature of ageing of skin too. Acne breakout is the most common problem that occur in summer especially to the people with oily skin.

Here are some tips to follow this summer season:

1. Sunscreen is a must
Wear your sunscreens irrespective of your skin type. UV- A and UV-B rays are very harmful for the skin at any time of the year, but more so in summer season. Apply a sunscreen of a minimum SPF of 30 that gels into your skin and gets absorbed even if you stay indoors.

2. Go for minimal or no make-up look
In summer season avoid heavy makeup look. Instead go for a minimal or no make-up
look, as heavy makeup prevents the skin from breathing and as a result acne and
pimples might get popped on your skin.

3. Hydrate yourself at regular intervals
Hydration is the key at all times during summer. Have enough water during the day. Also, one must take coconut water, watermelon juice, and sugarcane juice frequently in summers to keep themselves hydrated and a pro tip is to stay away from the packed sugary drinks that are full of calories. Apart from this, splash water on your face or you can carry a face mist to freshen up frequently in summer.

4. Wear Breathable Fabrics
Maintain your hygiene in the scorching heat and wear breathable clothes. Cotton is the best fabric to wear during the summer season. Wear light color and loose clothing to feel comfortable throughout the day. Avoid dark color and tight fitting clothing as it can lead to irritation and later into infection.
