Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is the most popular show and has been running successfully for 12 years now. Actor Mayur Vakani who plays the character of Sunderlal in the comedy show has tested COVID-19 positive.
The actor has been hospitalized in Ahmedabad. Hemali Vakani, wife of Mayur Vakani has also been tested positive and is in home quarantine.
Hemali stated, “He shot for few episodes of the show and returned on March 7 and after a few days he developed few symptoms. Initially we thought it could be because of travelling but we went for the test and his report came positive. He was admitted on March 11 to the hospital. Mayur will undergo another test and maybe in a day or two he will be discharged”.
After Mayur’s report came positive, the entire cast and crew of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah have been asked to get themselves tested for the virus.
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one of the longest running shows on Television which has completed 3000 episodes. The show has popular names like Dilip Joshi, Sailesh Lodha, Munmun Dutta, Sonalika Joshi, Amit Bhatt, Ambika Rajankar amongst others.
