As the reports that veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty has been diagnosed with corona virus spread like a fire on social media, the actor’s son Minmoh Chakraborty confirmed that Mithun is absolutely fine and has not been tested positive.
In a statement he said, “Dad is fine. He is working on the show and as well as for the people back in West Bengal. He is absolutely hale and hearty by the grace of god and the love and blessings of his fans. He continues to inspire me every day to work extremely hard and stay positive at all times. Not the covid positive I must say. We have to take all the SOPs very seriously and follow as directed. This is a war we can’t lose to this pandemic.”
Interestingly, the news of Mithun Chakraborty tested positive came days after he was booked for violating Covid protocols. TMC had claimed that BJP leaders Mithud and Dilip Ghosh had violated the protocols by organizing a public meeting that was attended by 500 people. As a result, TMC has filed a complaint with the Election Commission.
Talking about Mithun’s professional front, he will be seen in film ‘The Kashmir Files’ also starring Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi and Puneet Issar. The film is directed by Vivek Agnihotri and is scheduled to release on August 15, 2021.
