Naseeruddin Shah has been hospitalized due to pneumonia in Mumbai. The veteran actor is under observation for the last two days and as per the recent report, he is stable and recovering well.
The veteran actor has been admitted to Hinduja Hospital in Khar, Mumbai, receiving treatment for pneumonia. His manager has confirmed that the actor is stable and responding well to the treatment.
The manager’s statement read, “He has been in the hospital for two days. He’s under medical supervision. He was brought in for Pneumonia. There was a patch found in his lungs and it became necessary for him to be hospitalized immediately. His condition is stable and he’s responding well to the treatment.”
According to reports, the 70-year-old actor is expected to get discharged from the hospital in a day. His wife, Ratna Pathak Shah, and his children are at the hospital with him.
Ratna Pathak Shah told the news agency, that he is responding well to the treatment. He has a small patch and all is under control. He is responding well to treatment, so hopefully, he’ll be discharged soon.”

Naseeruddin Shah has been honored by the Government of India with Padma Shri and the Padma Bhushan. The actor was seen in 2020, in an Amazon Prime series Bandish Bandits which garnered much success. Naseeruddin Shah was last seen in Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi, which premiered on Netflix earlier this year.
