Asur had taken the OTT space by the storm. The series had managed to catapult Voot and bring it on the OTT scene. However, the show debuted just before the pandemic and thus fans had to wait long for the second season. It seems now things are progressing fast in this regard.

Asur 2 has finally gone on floors. Arshad Warsi, Anupriya Goenka and Ridhi Dogra have all confirmed to resuming the shoot of the web series.

Actor Arshad Warsi who played the role of Dhananjay Singh was the first to talk about resuming He said, “I am overjoyed to start shooting again. As far as my career goes, Asur is one of the best things that has happened to me. It was my digital debut & with season 1 being a huge hit, I am very excited to see how people will respond to our new season.”

Anupriya Goenka has carved a niche for herself in the OTT space. Many fans wished to see more of her and are hoping that their prayers will be answered in this season. Commenting about resuming the shoot, she said, “It is lovely to be finally shooting ‘Asur 2’, which has been waiting in the pipeline for a long time. Fans have been messaging everyone in the cast about when it is finally going to come, and we are now at least able to begin the shoot”.

Riddhi Dogra too took to her Instagram to share a few pictures from the Asur shoot. There is no word on Barun’s shoot schedule at the moment. It is however being said that the shoot had begun in a hotel in Mumbai and now moved to a set in Kandivali. There is also a schedule planned for Benares, Manali and Delhi.

Asur’s success

Gaurav Shukla, Vinay Chhawal and Niren Bhatt have written the story for Asur. Directed by Oni Sen, the show had managed to capture the attention of one and all.
