On the demise of Legendary actor Surekha Sikri, many co-star, artist and celebs have paid their heartfelt tribute. The three time National winning actress was known for her splendid acting in pivotal roles. The actress spanned her acting skills in theater, films and television. A lot of artist and celebs remember the late legendary actress till date, one of them is Parull Chaudhry. Surekha and Parul worked together in Zee TV’s show Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani.
In Zee TV drama ‘Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani’, Surekha portrayed the role of Badi Rani Maa Bhagyavanti Singh Deo, while her co-star Parull played the role of Kunwarani Kokila Chandravadan Singh Deo. Pinkvilla reported, Parull spoke on Surekha’s performance from the set that everyone used to get mesmeriezed when she performed her scenes. She’s a legend. They say, ‘they don’t make anyone like her anymore’ so no one will be like her. She was an institution in herself. When she would enter on set and perform her scenes, one would be mesmerized,” said Parull.
Further, Parull spoke on the way she gets into her caractres and drives it smoothly with honesty. She continued, “After action, she would straight dive into her character with so much honesty. I’ve not experienced this with many actors, but Surekha Sikri ji is one of them. No one will be like her, and she will always live in our hearts and the industry through her work.”
Parull revealed that late actress Surekha was more modern than a modern girl in her thinking. “She was very progressive, exactly like her character in Badhaai Ho. A modern girl could also hold up a conversation with ease. I think she was more modern than a modern girl in her thinking,” she added.
Talking about the films and work of late ‘Balika Vadhu’ actress, Parull continued, “What a fabulous actor she was. Mammo and Tamas are her best films, and the most recent being Badaai Ho, in which she did amazing work. She would do amazing work in every film.”
Parull also revealed that she was deeply saddened by her illness during lockdown and tried ways to reach Surekha and kept herself updated with her health issues. Further, remembering her she said, “I was very sad when I got the news. I was remembering, getting flashbacks of her conversations, her entering on the sets, the way she used to walk, every other thing related to her. A lot of her memories will stay with me forever.”
