Shyam Singha Roy, starring Nani, Sai Pallavi, and Krithi Shetty, will be available on Netflix starting January 21. On December 24, Shyam Singha Roy was launched in theatres. “Looking forward to viewing @NameisNani’s #ShyamSinghaRoy on @NetflixIndia starting January 21st in Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam,” Divo Movies, who are on board as the Digital Distribution partner, stated in a tweet to followers. We are honoured to be a part of their “Digital Distribution Partner” programme.

The Nani-starrer is a time-travel tale set in Bengal in the 1970s and modern-day Hyderabad. Nani took on the character of a social reformer, while Sai Pallavi dazzled the audience as a dancer. This is Rahul Sankrityan’s second film as a filmmaker, and it stars Nani in two roles. The performances of Nani, Sai Pallavi, Krithi Shetty, and Madonna Sebastian were well welcomed by the audience.

Nani played the titular character in Tuck Jagadish before Shyam Singha Roy. Aishwarya Rajesh and Ritu Varma co-starred in the Telugu film. It was supposed to be released in theatres, but because to the epidemic, the producers decided to proceed with a direct over-the-top debut. On September 10 of last year, it was launched on Amazon Prime Video, a streaming service.

Nani said that he was looking forward to the theatrical premiere, despite the film being released on OTT rather than in theatres. “I’m divided between the pressures that producers are under in these uncertain times, with major stakes on the line, and the theatre fanatic in me, who wants to see the movie with all of you on the first day-first show,” the statement continued. “With the unpredictable situations here and overseas, as well as the awful limitations on theatres in Andhra Pradesh,” he said, “it has become a conflict in many respects.” I have the highest respect for the producers, and I feel that any decision they make about the film should be theirs alone (sic).
