In a sad turn of events, popular television host and RJ of the 90s and early 2000, Anandha Kannan passed away on Monday. His sudden demise has come as a shock to the Tamil film fraternity. Reportedly, he died due to cancer. The actor-VJ was 48. Sharing this sad news, Director Venkat Prabhu took to Twitter and wrote, ‘A great friend, a great human is no more!! #RIPanandakannan my deepest condolences.
Soon after the shocking news came out, condolence messages have been pouring in from the entertainment fraternity and well-wishers who have known him.
RK Suresh tweeted, “Rest in peace dear.”
Actor turned politician Gayatri Raguramm wrote, “So shocked about to hear about #Anandakannan.. sweet person. Gone too soon. My condolences to his family and friends. He smiled always and he made others laugh and smile. Om Shanti.”
Actor Ashok Kumar said, “Dear Brother #Anandakannan You will always live with the positivity you exuded. Ananda Kannan had starred in a Television series and few films like Mullum Malarum and Adhisaya Ulagam. He started his anchoring career in Singapore and later shifted to Chennai where he worked as an RJ. He then joined a television network as a VJ and anchored several shows which were a huge hit amongst youngsters garnering him a considerable fan base.
