Global icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas has now stepped in the hospitality industry. The actress in collaboration with restaurateur Maneesh Goyal, has opened fine dining restaurant ‘Sona’ on the streets of New York, serving Indian cuisine.
Adding another feather in her cap- Priyanka Chopra gave a glimpse to her newly launched restaurant. The décor of the restaurant is amalgamation of contemporary and rustic design with hues of gold, black and white. Taking to Instagram, the actress shared a few pictures of ambience and food, she wrote, “Today is opening day @sonanewyork!”.
Priyanka’s business partner, Maneesh Goyal also took to Instagram and shared a small fine dining tour of the newly launched space and can be heard saying, “Welcome to Sona…. This is Sona, I am so thrilled to welcome you in”.
Inside the restaurant there is also a private dining area where 8 to 30 guests can accommodate. The private space name is kept as Priyanka’s nickname and is called ‘Mimi’s. The restaurant will also showcase modern and contemporary artwork from Indian artists.
Talking about the food on the menu at Sona, Head Chef Hari included Nick Jonas favourite Gajar Halwa in the menu. Few other dishes which will be served in the restaurant are mango passion sorbet, sona chocolate gateaux, aged cheddar dosa, coconut chutney, golgappa shots, buckwheat bhel and butter chicken.
