Actress Raashii Khanna recently stated that she will be seen as a female lead for an upcoming Tamil film, starring Dhanush. Currently titled “D44”, the film is directed by Mithran Jawahar, produced by Sun Pictures. The film also stars Prakash Raj, Nithya Menen, and director-turned-actor Bharathiraja.
Raashii, who predominantly works in Tamil and Telugu language films, made her debut with “Madras Cafe” also starring John Abraham. The 30-year-old actress is known for films like ‘Supreme’, and ‘Bengal Tiger’ said she is looking forward to working on the film.
“I look forward to working with Dhanush, who has contributed in such a huge way to the cinema. I’ve so many people to thank for the work that comes my way – the audience who love my work and the filmmakers and content creators (who) trust it,” the actress said in a statement.
Raashii will soon star in a web series to stream on an Amazon Prime Video, directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D K, in which she will be featured alongside Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi.
She also has director Rajesh Mapuskar’s web series “Rudra -The Edge of Darkness” starring Ajay Devgn. Apart from this, she will be seen in films like ‘Aranmanai 3’, ‘Tughlaq Durbar’, and ‘Bhramam’.
