It was on Monday night, July 19 that Mumbai Police arrested businessmen Raj Kundra, husband of actress Shilpa Shetty in a case involving pornographic films. The case was registered against him is for the creation of porn films and streaming them through certain paid apps. After he got arrested, Raj’s old tweets on porn stars becoming actors and porn vs prostitution are going viral on social media platforms.
After Raj’s arrest in connection with pornographic content, his old tweets have gone viral. He had also tweeted about ‘porn vs prostitution’ back in 2012.
One of his tweets read, “India: Actors are playing cricket, Cricketers are playing politics, Politicians are watching porn and Porn stars are becoming actors!”
The other tweet reads, “Ok so here go’s Porn Vs Prostitution. Why is it legal to pay someone for sex on camera? How is one different from the other??”
Netizens are now trolling Raj Kundra for his Twitter bio that reads, ‘Life is about making the right choices.’
About Raj Kundra’s arrest
Raj Kundra has been booked under IPC sections 420 (cheating), 34 (common intention), 292, and 293 (related to obscene and indecent advertisements and displays) besides relevant sections of the IT Act and the Indecent Representations of Women (Prohibition) Act. According to the Mumbai Police’s statement, Raj Kundra appears to be the key conspirator in this case.
