The Kannada period action thriller “Kantara” has maintained a strong box office performance since its theatrical premiere. Both reviewers and viewers have given the movie favourable reviews.
Kantara, which debuted in theatres on September 30th, has been a tremendous smash across India. It was written, directed, and starred in by Rishab Shetty. Not just in the South but also in the Hindi belt, the film has been a great blockbuster.
Due to the film’s enormous box office success, there was a lot of discussion on social media regarding its upcoming distribution on OTT platforms. On several social media sites, there was also speculation that the historical action thriller movie “Kantara” might debut on an OTT platform on November 4. This generated a lot of online hype, which the film’s producer just refuted on Twitter.
The movie’s producer, Karthik Gowda, wrote via his own Twitter account that an OTT release is not imminent. He stated: “False News When it arrives, which is almost definitely not on November 4th, we will let you know.”
Despite several movies coming out over the Diwali week, the Hindi adaptation of the hit film “Kantara” stands out. The Hindi version of the movie has made a total of Rs 31.70 crore at the box office. Taran Adarsh, a reviewer for movies and a business expert, remarked, “Despite a number of movies coming out over Diwali week, Kantara (Hindi version) holds its own. Week 2 has a greater level than Week 1.”
Kantara, which is set in the fictional village of Dakshina Kannada, centres on a Kambala champion portrayed by Shetty who clashes with Murali, a moral Forest Range officer (Kishore). In the yearly race known as Kambala, which takes place in coastal Karnataka from November to March, a jockey pulls a pair of buffaloes that are hitched to a plough across two parallel muddy courses.
