Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty’s businessman husband Raj Kundra has been arrested by the Mumbai Police on Monday evening as the ‘key conspirator’ in a pornography-related case.
Mumbai Police Commissioner, Hemant Nagrale confirmed the same in a statement that read, “There was a case registered with Crime Branch Mumbai in February 2021 about the creation of pornographic films and publishing them through some Apps. We’ve arrested Mr Raj Kundra in this case on 19/7/21 as he appears to be the key conspirator of this.”
He also stated, “We have sufficient evidence regarding this. The investigation is in progress.”
Raj has been condemned with IPC sections of indulging in the obscene act in public places, cheating, and publicly exhibiting or circulating obscene books or literature and under the Information Technology Act.
Raj Kundra has spent the night in the custody of the Crime Branch, Mumbai.
According to the report, the cops filed two FIRs and arrested nine people last week for allegedly ‘forcing’ people to shoot nude scenes for porn films. These films were released/streamed on paid mobile applications.
Reportedly, model-actress Poonam Pandey has filed a case against Raj Kundra and his associates in Bombay High Court. She stated that Raj and his associates have been illegally using her content and further added that the contract between them was terminated.
