Sudheer Babu’s most recent film was V, directed by Mohan Krishna Indraganti. He’s always wanted to do something fresh and different in his work. He currently wants to work in a sports film. Sudheer spoke exclusively to IndiaToday.in about his role as a sportsman and his intentions to work in Bollywood after Baaghi.
Sudheer Babu was a professional badminton player who topped the rankings in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. As a result, it’s no surprise that the actor wants to work in a sports movie.
Sudheer remarked, “I’m terrified to say this because whenever I mention a part, folks who are developing characters show up with their screenplays. Before going into movies, I was mostly a sportsman. Playing sports was a big part of my success, and as a result, I met a lot of actors. So, my greatest ambition is to direct a sports film. It’ll be like paying it forward to something I’ve accomplished.”
Sudheer, on the other hand, made his Bollywood debut with Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi in 2016. Despite the film’s low box office, Sudheer’s portrayal as the antagonist was praised. Following the release of Baaghi, the actor did not appear in any other Bollywood films.
“It was not an intentional decision to stay away from Bollywood,” he explained. In addition, I have a lot of room to grow in Tollywood, even if I only have 24 hours a day to work. I would have attempted to do more Bollywood films if I had had the choice of 48 hours or more. At the same time, there is no longer any Bollywood or Tollywood. Every one of my films has been dubbed in Hindi and is available on various digital platforms. So, it’s not like I’m not aware of what’s going on in Bollywood. I’m now looking at several screenplays in which there are no cultural variances.
Then I might be able to shoot it in Hindi and Telugu at the same time. “All I’m doing is looking at a topic that works in both locations.”
