Thousands of individuals go missing each year with no reason, and the majority of these disappearances go undetected. When the missing individual happens to be a celebrity, though, it’s a different story.

There are assumptions and foul play is considered between the period of missing and the resurfacing of the lost individual, but not everyone is lucky to reemerge among those who surface alive. Many, however, do not truly go missing in the first place; for them, the celebrity life is a bit too much to take.

As a result, the title of this series is a deterrent from the start. Whatever the show’s mystique or atmosphere, you know its idea is only an attention-getting device in the back of your mind.

This review is based on the series’ first six episodes. Madhuri Dixit’s Anamika Anand is a well-known actress towards the end of her career. Nikhil More (Sanjay Kapoor), her spouse, is developing a film in which she stars. They realize the picture isn’t shaping up as they had hoped in the middle of production, so they bring in Manish Khanna (Manav Kaul), a superstar whose on-screen connection with Anamika is evident to the audience.

Anamika Anand, however, goes missing soon before the film’s release.

The story opens with Anamika Anand, who has been missing for 48 hours, and Police Officer Shobha Trivedi investigating the case. Anamika’s dwindling prominence, her problematic family, and the reappearance of her long-forgotten flame Manish Khanna in her life are all revealed throughout the probe.

Anamika had been absent for four days by the second episode, which reveals events from six months ago. “Celebrity is not glamorous, fame is hazardous, and you don’t know how one needs to deal with people,” Anamika tells her daughter Amara (Muskkaan Jaferi) in a flashback filled with regret and ecstasy.

Overall, the series is fascinating due to the performances of its ace star cast, all of them are somewhat above average. None of them give their characters any depth. However, Madhuri Dixit, who makes her OTT debut, is the centre of attention. With her captivating demeanour and dance routines that have been seen many times on the big screen, she is sure to satisfy her admirers and earn some brownie points in the process.

Lakshvir Singh Saran, Muskkaan Jaferi, and Gagan Arora are among the younger generation’s most serious and promising members.
