Aafat-E-Ishq stars Neha Sharma, Deepak Dobriyal, Amit Sial, Namit Das, and Ila Arun and is produced by Zee Studios.
The streaming service announced on Friday that Neha Sharma would appear in ZEE5’s forthcoming original film Aafat-E-Ishq, which will premiere on October 29. The film is an Indian version of the award-winning Hungarian film Liza, the Fox-Fairy, directed by Indrajit Nattoji, according to ZEE5.
The drama centres on Lallo (Sharma) and her search for true love. According to the official logline, she becomes a primary suspect after a sequence of several fatalities, as an ancient curse looms large, threatening to ruin everything and everyone around her.
Deepak Dobriyal, Amit Sial, Namit Das, and Ila Arun appear in Aafat-E-Ishq, which is produced by Zee Studios.
Manish Kalra, Chief Business Officer of ZEE5 India, believes that there is a segment of the public that is warming up to supernatural stories, and that Aafat-E-Ishq would appeal to them.
“The original Hungarian film Liza, the Fox-Fairy was a tremendous international success, and we’ve seen a lot of interest in supernatural stories in India in the last several years.”
“As a consumer-centric OTT platform, we are focused on delivering top-rated entertainment across genres,” Kalra said in a statement. “We are certain that Aafat-E-Ishq will be adored by consumers of this genre and will make a mark. “ZEE5’s Head of Hindi Originals, Nimisha Pandey, expressed her satisfaction at having reproduced the Hungarian film for Indian audiences in their preferred language.
“Aafat-E-Ishq is a gripping tale based on India’s fascination with the occult and fantasy genres. The film will stand out for its original plot, eccentric characters, and dark humour, all of which we believe will appeal to a wide range of audiences. “We’re really looking forward to bringing this on your TVs,” Pandey said.
