We have often across people we so admire, the calm, the poise, the elegance with which they conduct themselves. By saying goodbye to the below habits, our mindset and body language will surely change.
- DO NOT CRITICIZE YOURSELF- The more negative you talk/ think about yourself, the more it shows in your actions. You seem sad, grumpy and a pessimist. Try a more positive approach, daily affirming you are God’s favorite child and see the shift.
- COMPARE YOURSELF TO ANYONE ELSE- This is a self-sabotage. If you start seeing others wins as an inspiration and that each one has a unique path, we must learn from one another, you will be more optimistic and focused.
- SEEK EXTERNAL VALIDATION- If you constantly seek for approval from the outside world, you’ll always be in doubt. Trust your own judgement.
- SPEAKING WITHOUT THINKING- If you speak without thinking, it makes you look less credible. Think before you speak and you sound more poised and can make your point of view clearer.
- ALWAYS SAYING YES- Unconfident people with low self esteem find it difficult to assert their point of view and easily say ‘yes’ at all costs. Learn to say ‘NO’ if needed, it’s not tough.
- SPEAK THE TRUTH- Those that speak the truth show character and are reliable, more vulnerable. Truth can be painful, tough yet only a confident person has the courage.
Remember, confidence is about grace, trusting your own ability, leave others aside, carve your own niche.
