Farhan Akhtar starrer ‘‘Toofan’, the highly-awaited sports drama is just few days away from its release. In no time left, Farhan is going out and promoting the film. He keeps posting about film on his social media handle. The actor has also set-up a picture from the film as his social media display picture. Fans are super excited to watch Farhan’s knack in the film. Recently, in an interview with ETimes, Farhan revealed that, boxing was challenging for him, but he wanted to try and accomplish something that he has never done before.
“At the same time, it was also exciting because, as an actor, it always feels good when you are asked to try and accomplish something that you haven’t done before. I just approached it with the mindset that this is a great opportunity to do something different, and simultaneously learn something new,” said Farhan.
Talking about the difficulties the actor faced, for the audience to feel him as a real boxer Farhan stated, “But I liked it because I wanted people to feel like I am a real boxer when they watch the film. That was my goal, it was important that I dedicate as much time, energy and effort as possible to creating this character.”
Actor Farhan and director Rakeysh Omprakash upcoming film ‘Toofaan’ will be marked as their second collaboration, after the blockbuster film ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’. The actor expect to receive same love from the audience that he received during Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. “Our job is to be as committed and as honest about the films that we are working on. Neither of us stopped to think about what work we have done in the past, whether together or independently. What was important was to make sure that we get this right. To put this story that we are trying to tell across as clearly and efficiently as possible. That was our focus. How it will be received only time will tell. Let’s hope people accept it the way they had received Bhaag Milkha Bhaag,” Farhan stated.
The film was going to get release in theatres last year, but due to amid Covid-19 pandemic the film will premiere on OTT platform. The boxing drama will be the actor’s first film to release on the OTT platform, and the actor revealed that he is not at all disappointed instead he is happy that ‘Toofan’ will reach to millions of people due to OTT platform.
Talking about the same, Farhan mentioned, “This is the first film of mine that is releasing on an OTT platform, and it will reach so many people across the globe. Now, the number of people who will watch it will be in the millions. So, I am excited about that. You know, you don’t make these plans for yourself; you take each film and each project as it comes. You do what you think is right and best.”
Farhan’s starer ‘Toofan’ will be mark its release on Prime Video on July 16, 2021.
