Vaccine for all above 18: Bollywood celebs praised government’s move

As the Central government on Monday announced that the people above 18 years of age will be eligible to get the vaccine of novel corona virus from May 1. Bollywood celebrities welcomed this decision of the government and gave their reactions on social media platforms. 

Actor Riteish Deshmuk took to twitter and tweeted, “It’s a great decision by the government to open up the covid 19 vaccination for everyone above 18 years old. #vaccineforall.”

Veere Di Wedding actresses Swara Bhaskar and Kareena Kapoor also took to social media and gave their reaction. Swara’s tweeted, “Finally! Yes, thank you.” While, Kareena Kapoor shared the news post on Instagram stories and wrote, “Let’s do this India…”

Abhinav Sinha Tweeted, “Chalo ab May 1 se jugaad lagao vaccine ka.”

“Excellent news that all above 18 can get vaccinated. But all our young Indians do remember this vaccination is not making us SuperMan or IronMan- just SaferMan!! Got the point. We still need to mask up and be super careful- long journey ahead”, tweeted Producer Ronnie Screwvala.

While, Ranvir Shorey tweeted, “Responsive, maybe, but this government has been taking their cues in the fight against #COVID19, instead of leading it. Not a good sign for the long road to recovery ahead. Less noise and more action is the need of the hour. #VaccineForAll.”

Actress Urmila Matondkar tweeted, “And finally #VaccineForAll lowering the vaccination age has long been the need of the hour. Thank you@OfficeofUT and @AUThackeray for your constant efforts for it. Let’s all make the vaccination programme a massive success from May 1.. #Maharashra day #VaccinateEveryIndian.”
