The second wave of novel corona virus has impacted millions of lives across the country. The surge continues with effect and during this time actor Varun Dhawan has shared a powerful message on social media. The actor said after all this ends we must not forget we fought for air.
Varun took to his Instagram and wrote, “If we all survive this, as I hope we shall, remember that when it came down to it, we didn’t fight for land or weapons or house or jewelry. We didn’t fight for concert tickets or fancy designations or religions or politics. We didn’t fight for shares in a company or a seat at the table. We didn’t fight for business class tickets or the keys to a house by the beach. When all this is over, remember, that we fought for air.” He captioned his post as, “WE are in this together.”
Varun also informed in another post on his Instagram handle that he has joined hands with Mission Oxygen India to donate oxygen concentrators to hospitals across the country. He wrote, “During uncertain times like these, our healthcare system needs utmost help. Since we know that oxygen is the need of the hour, I have contributed and partnered with @MissionOxygenIndia in their initiative to procure and donate life saving oxygen concentrators to hospitals across the country.”
He further added, “As a group of 30 something individuals who have managed to step up for the country in this time of need and raise over 21 crores for the procurement of 3900 OCs in under a week. I resonate deeply with their cause and urge everyone to help in whatever capacity possible. The first shipment of oxygen concentrators arrived into the country and have already been allocated across 14 hospitals.”
Many other celebrities are also helping during this crisis including Sonu Sood, Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty among others.
On the work front, Varun Dhawan recently announced the schedule wrap of his upcoming film ‘Bhediya’ in Arunachal Pradesh. The film also features actress Kriti Sanon in the lead role.
