Marking the first day of the Bengali New Year, Poila Baisakh, several celebrities from the entertainment industry extended wishes to their fans on this auspicious occasion. However, this year, things are different and people are celebrating it at home with delicacies.
Bipasha Basu, Prosenjit, Shoojit Sircar and several other celebrities took to their respective social media to wish their fans Shubho Nobo borsho (Happy New Year).
Bipasha Basu took to her Instagram stories to extend the wishes and wrote, “Poila Baisakh, Shubho Nobo borsho.”
Film director Shoojit Sircar shared a picture of himself from the football court in white t-shirt with owl printed on it, holding the football in his hand and wished his fans. He wrote, “OWL symbolic to Benagli New Year… Subho Noboborsho everyone.. started Bengali new year playing football. Thank you @sureshramakrishnan_koj @funchershop.”
Actor Prosenjit Chatterjee shared a video on his Instagram handle and captioned it as, “Something fresh and exciting is brewing up from the makers of ‘Mayurakshi’! @atanugsh1208 @friends_communication Seek you blessings and good wishes.” The actor probably hinted to his upcoming film.
Apart from this, other celebrities who extended the wishes to their fans are Raima Sen, Priyanka Sarkar, Nusrat Jahan, Srabanti Chatterjee, Rituparna Sengupta and few others.
