Mallika Dua, who recently lost her mother Dr. Padmavati Dua aka Chinna Dua due to COVID-19 complications, opened up about how she has been dealing with her demise.
Comedian- actress Mallika took to Instagram on Friday and shared the qualities of her late mother that she wants to imbibe in her life now.
She wrote, “Thought I’d upload something that would make her smile. She is definitely on insta. I want to try and get back to work. Besides the obvious fact that work = money, work also = sanity. She never moped. She went from one thing to the next with passion and a smile.”
“She never let tragedy or worry stop her. I tell myself this every day. Yesterday was horrible but I made it.. Will continue to fight and rise like the sun daily, adding a happy picture of her from her movie ‘Indoo Ki Jawaani’. She started the post with, “When someone asks me, “aur babe, kaisa chal raha hai?”, she added.
Mallika’s post has garnered love and support from her friends and fans. “Big hug…keep shining,” singer Asees Kaur commented. Many of my friends dropped in heart emojis.
For the unversed, Mallika Dua lost her mother due to covid-19 complications. She got tested positive for the virus in May. After a long battle, she passed away on June 11. A day later, Mallika took to her Instagram stories and shared the news and wrote, “She left us last night. My whole heart. My whole life. The only god I know. My Amma I’m sorry I couldn’t save you. You fought so hard my mama. My precious. My heart. You’re my whole life.”
