Actor Prabhas celebrates six years of the blockbuster hit film, Baahubali: The Beginning. The film was released on July 10, 2015, and was directed by SS Rajamouli. The film garnered over Rs 600 crore at the box office globally. The period drama stars Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj, and Nasser in lead roles.
Prabhas took to his official Instagram handle today to mark six years of the release of Baahubali: The Beginning. He shared a still of himself from the film. Sharing the post, he wrote, “#6YearsOfBaahubali: Here’s to the team that created waves of cinematic magic all across the country and the world.” He then tagged director Rajamouli, producer Shobu Yarlagadda and the rest of the cast and crew.
SS Rajamouli’s Magnum opus, Baahubali: The Beginning was jointly bankrolled by Prasad Devineni and Shobu Yarlagadda, under the banner, Arka Media Works. The film was made on a massive budget of Rs 180 crore and was the most expensive Indian film back then. The commercially successful film got released in multiple languages, went on to collect over Rs 600 crore globally.
The film won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film and Best Special Effects. The sequel, Baahubali: The Conclusion, was released on April 28, 2017.
On the work front, Prabhas will be seen in Salaar, Adipurush, Prabhas 21 among many others.
