Kollywood actor Pandu passes away due to covid-19 complications today morning (May 6) at a private hospital in Chennai. The 74 year old actor along with his wife was hospitalized after they were diagnosed with the deadly disease for further treatment but Pandu breathed his last today morning. His wife is in ICU battling with the deadly virus.  

The actor is known for playing comedy roles in Tamil films. He is survived by wife Kumudha and three sons, Prabhu, Pintu and Panchu. 

Tamil film industry was shocked to learn about the sudden demise of the comedy and supporting actor. Many celebs from the industry took to social media to pay their last respects to the actor.

Pandu

Producer and distributor G Dhananjayan took to Twitter and shared the heartbreaking news. He wrote, “Better to switch off from all social media for sometime. Very shocking to read this morning news. #RIPPandu sir, one of the finest human beings and actors. Going to be on home quarantine for some days. Be safe and home friends. Take care. Very challenging days ahead.” 

Filmmakers SJ Suryah and Venkat Prabhu took to their respective twitter handles and wrote, “RIPPandu saar.”   

“Another loss due to #COVIDSecondWaveInIndia #Rippandu sir #PLEASESTAYHOME”, tweeted actor Shanthanu Bhagyaraj. 

Pandu made his debut in acting carrer in 1970 from ‘Maanavan’ and later he was a part of many films like Kadhal Kottai, Panakkaran, Deiva Vaaku, Vaali, Poomagal, Oorvalam, James Pandu, Jodi, Naattamai to name a few.
