Newly-wed Yami Gautam has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to appear before on July 7 due to a foreign exchange violation case. The actress’s statement will be recorded next week in connection under Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).
The actress has allegedly violated FEMA guidelines. She has been summoned for the second time. The alleged violation includes a foreign monetary transaction in her private bank account which she did not inform the authorities.
An ED official told the news agency: “The agency has summoned Gautam to appear before it on July 7 to record her statement.” He further said that “She was summoned as it was found that she had received Rs 1.5 crore in her bank account from foreign countries.”
For the unversed, Yami Gautam has been making headlines after her intimate mountain wedding on June 4 with Uri: The Surgical Strike director Aditya Dhar. Taking to Instagram the newlywed couple shared a picture and wrote, “With the blessings of our family, we have tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony today. Being very private people, we celebrated this joyous occasion with our immediate family. As we embark on the journey of love and friendship, we seek all your blessings and good wishes.”

On the professional front, Yami Gautam has several pictures lined up. She will be seen in Abhishek Bachchan and Nimrat Kaur starrer social comedy, ‘Dasvi’. The film is produced by Dinesh Vijan, Sandeep Leyzell, and Shobhana Yadav and is directed by Tushar Jalota
Apart from this, Yami will be seen essaying the role of a school teacher named Naina Jaiswal in the upcoming thriller film ‘A Thursday’.
