Shehzada, directed by Rohit Dhawan, released in theatres on the 17th of February. The movie is an official remake of Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapurramloo. The movie combines action, drama and humor.
The movie stars Paresh Rawal, Kirti Sanon, Ronit Roy, Sachin Khedekar, Manisha Koirala and Rajpal Yadav. The movie is the story of Bantu who is born into a rich family. He is hated and neglected by his father ever since he was a toddler. Some time later, Bantu’s world crashes when he discovers the truth. He was switched at birth with a millionaire’s son. Samara, his boss, is the first person in his life, who shows him love and compassion. He discovers that he is the son of Jindal’s and decides to love and protect his original family from the threats they are facing without revealing his true self.
On April 14th, Netflix took to social media and announced, “No more secrets, Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon have said it- Shehzada arrives on Netflix at midnight.”
This movie marks the 2nd pairing of Kartik and Kriti after Luka Chuppi. Shehzada had a budget of Rs. 85 crores. The movie made only Rs. 46.75 cr at the box office. This T-series movie, which also had Kartik Aaryan producing it, got a mix response at the box office.
