Indian Police Force, according to its creators, is a fictional series that pays tribute to the selfless dedication, unwavering commitment, and ardent patriotism of police personnel across the country.
Prime Video said on Wednesday that it had partnered with filmmaker Rohit Shetty for his action-packed online series Indian Police Force.
Shetty directed and produced the project, which stars Sidharth Malhotra, who will portray a Delhi Police officer in the series.
According to the creators, Indian Police Force is a fictional series that pays tribute to the selfless dedication, unwavering commitment, and intense patriotism of police officers across the country who risk everything in the line of duty to keep everyone safe.
With the next series, the creators claimed they hope to set a new benchmark for action programming emanating from India for audiences globally, according to a press release published on Shetty’s behalf.
They stated that with a worldwide release, audiences in 240 countries and territories would be able to immerse themselves in an immersive police universe tale originating in India and steeped in Indian values.
Shetty, who is best known for films like Singham, Simmba, and Sooryavanshi, which established the cinematic cop universe, said he has been working on Indian Police Force for a long time.
In a statement, the 49-year-old filmmaker said, “I’m thrilled to be partnering with Amazon Prime Video to breathe life into this narrative that will transcend geographies and linguistic barriers, presenting me with a chance to display the same to people globally.”
Shetty, who is best known for directing hit comic films like the Golmaal trilogy, makes his digital debut with the eight-part series. Malhotra’s latest film, Shershaah, released on Prime Video in August 2021, and this is his first OTT production.
With this high-octane action series, the filmmaker stated that he hopes to create a new standard.

The show’s first-look trailer was also released today by the creators. They teased Malhotra in a new project from Shetty on Tuesday evening, which would expand the director’s policing universe into the digital realm.

Indian Police Force, an Amazon Original series produced in partnership with Rohit Shetty Picturez, is presently filming in Mumbai.
The program is expected to premiere next year.
