Every industry looks shiny and glamorous on the screen but the truth is just the opposite. There are a lot of rules in K-pop industry which needs to be followed by every person who is involved in the industry. Extreme diets, hard training practice, 24×7 attention, no dating rule and toxic fans and there are a lot more which is a part of K-pop idol life.
The road to stardom is not easy and however it is not easy to hold on as well. There are some K-pop idols who have suffered tragic death and their incidents are mentioned below-
- SHINee’s Jonghyun
The lead singer of the group SHINee died by suicide in his own apartment on 18 December 2017. The reason behind his suicide was severe depression.
- f(x)’s Sulli
Choi Jin Ri, was a female K-pop idol. She was found dead in her home on 14 October 2019. She was criticized and was heavily trolled online because of which she was into mental trauma and depression.
- Goo Hara
A month after her close friend Sulli’s dealth, Goo Hara attempted suicide in May 2019. She posted a goodbye on her social media channel and attempted suicide and the reason was depression and constant harassment on the internet.
- Tany
Kim Jin Soo also known as Tany, was arising k pop star who died due to a car accident at the age of 22.
