Courteney Cox revealed she was hurt by being the only ‘Friends’ star to not receive An Emmy Nomination

Courteney Cox joined the ’The Howard Stern show’ on Wednesday along with her ‘Friends’ co-stars Lisa Kudrow and Jennifer Aniston. The actress on the show revealed that she felt downhearted, when she realized that she was the only lead cast member to not receive an Emmy nomination.

Post Friends: The Reunion, the three of them got them back on ’The Howard Stern show’, where for an amazing chat with Stern. All three for them spoke about their 10 years off journey on Friends and about their friendship off screen.

Entertainment Weekly reported that, during the session, Courteney was asked if how it feels to her bout being missed out on getting an Emmy nomination for Friends. To which the actress said that, “Sure. Yeah, it always hurt my feelings,” Cox admitted. “When every single cast member was nominated but me, it definitely hurt my feelings. I was happy for everybody, and then when it was finally like, ‘Oh, I’m the only one?’ It hurt.”

Further Courteney revealed about first season of her subsequent sitcom “Cougar Town” that got her a Golden Globe nomination. She stated that,” “And then the only thing that made me feel good — because they’ve all won and they’ve gotten so many accolades — I got nominated for Cougar Town the first year — a Golden Globe. And I want to say, ‘Oh, who cares?’ It meant everything to me.”

Further Courteney mentioned that she was always happy whenever her co-stars won, and she said her friend’s co-stars are extremely talented and they deserved to win all the nominations.

‘Friends’ was premiered in 1994 and have 10 seasons in row. During this time it had a great viewership. The series was followed by adult group of six friends that looked with their daily personal and professional problems and were always there for each other is good and hard times in New York City. The series had over 50 million viewership by the end of its last season in 2004.
