BTS can just be called one of the biggest boy bands of all time. That won’t be a debate either. They have achieved heights that no one thought were possible. In all their amazing achievement lies the way they would like to prove themselves to the world.

Recently, BTS went to the 76th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) as a special guest. They attended the grand event as envoys of President Moon Jae In. They also became a beacon of hope as they talked about the pandemic, climate change, and more, in the hopes of inspiring and comforting today’s youth.

Not just that, but they also managed to make a new record during this visit of theirs. BTS has officially become the first  K-Pop act to perform a song in the United Nations Headquarters, New York.

BTS’s amazing voices filled the hall as they performed their hit single, ‘Permission to Dance’. The fact that only a few premium singers have performed there before makes it even more amazing. American singer-songwriter, Beyonce, stunned the world by performing her song “I Was Here” at the United Nations General Assembly in 2012.

Shakira has also performed here before. She actually sang a cover of John Lennon‘s song “Imagine” at the UN in 2015.

Other amazing artists who have performed at the Assembly include Palestinian pop singer Mohammad Assaf, Brazilian singer Gilberto Gil, and Indian Carnatic singer M.S. Subbulakshmi.
