The popular series ‘Squid Game’ is gaining a lot of attention and is catching the eyes of several people all over the world. The Netflix series has proved to be supremely hit and it is thus not a surprise that people want to watch a real-life version of the game!

In the United Arab Emirates, people will get to participate in a close resemblance of the game. As the world feigns amusement and surprise, people can’t wait to know more. On Tuesday, October 12, the Korean Cultural Center in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates will be hosting its “KCC Squid Game Event”—a reenactment of the popular Netflix series. Around 300 people applied to be a part of this interesting game but sadly only two teams of 15 people will be able to play.

This event will very closely resemble the actual show games. Out of the 6 games that were played in the show, two, the eponymous squid game and the tug-of-war round will be omitted. The live event will see the contestants in the same costumes, the staff in the same iconic circle, triangle, and square outfits. Not only that, but It will also add a game of ddakji to the roster, which the Salesman (Gong Yoo) played with Seong Gi Hun (Lee Jung Jae) in episode one.

The Korean Cultural Centre said, “The games seemed a bit brutal in the series to maximise the dramatic element, however, actually all the games in the series are popular games played by Korean children.”
