According to actor Arjan Bajwa, the world of OTT will thrive even when full-fledged theatre releases restart once the pandemic’s fatal effects have faded. He believes that digital streaming services constitute a “total game shift” for the industry.
“OTT is absolutely here to stay, and it has fundamentally transformed the game,” he adds. Because we can now tell tales in a completely new way. There are just too many unique and amazing anecdotes to include into a two-hour video.”
“It is now being told through a web series because you have numerous episodes of content that you can show people,” the actor, who can be seen in the current online program, Bestseller, explains.
The 42-year-old is certain that in the future, big-screen blockbusters and web entertainment will coexist. “In the same way that home videos and satellite television coexisted with cinema, home videos and satellite television coexisted with cinema. OTT is here to stay. “However, OTT provides you a competitive advantage,” he claims.
“The big advantage of OTT is that you can watch stuff that is spread across languages, continents, and cultures,” he says when asked what he thinks sets the web apart from other mediums.
