&TV’s Ek Mahanayak – Dr B.R. Ambedkar, which was launched in December 2019, has successfully completed 700 episodes. The show instantly connected with the audience and climbed the popularity charts for its strong characterization, remarkable dialogues, engaging screenplay, and compelling storyline. The cast including Bhimrao (Atharva), Ramabai (Narayani Mahesh Varne), Ramji Sakpal (Jagannath Nivangune), and others celebrated the achievement by cutting a cake together on the set. Speaking about the milestone, Atharva, essaying Young Bhimrao’s character, said, “The show’s successful journey over the years is reason enough to celebrate, and the 700-episode milestone is icing on the cake. The never-told-before life story of Ambedkar with a powerful socio-drama has attracted the attention of Hindi GEC viewers right from the word go, and achievements like these encourage us further to continue entertaining the audience. Young Bhimrao’s character has given me immense love, recognition and fame and it is very close to my heart. I am grateful to our producer, Smruti Shinde, and the &TV Team for the opportunity. It has been a wonderful journey so far, and I am sure it will continue to be.”
Jagannath Nivangune essaying Ramji Sakpal’s character since the show’s inception shared, “Every new milestone gives us artists a sense of accomplishment and reiterates that we are on the right path. Our team’s vision is to present Babasaheb’s indomitable perseverance, evolved vision and philosophy that continues to resonate with Indians across the country. Ramji, his father, has always stood like a pillar of strength beside his ambitious and visionary son and I am proud to portray such a pivotal character in the show. The 700-episode landmark calls for celebration and motivates us further to give our best.” Narayani Mahesh Varne essaying Ramabai’s character, said, “The journey of Ek Mahanayak—Dr B.R. Ambedkar has been wonderful, and I feel happy and proud to be a part of this successful show. It has been a great experience personally as well as professionally. Ramabai is a strong headed woman who keeps her head high amidst social injustice and atrocities. I am glad people have loved my character and the show, I want to thank to the entire crew and cast for supporting me in my endeavour to give my best. We will continue to keep the audience hooked on to our show and set newer benchmarks.”
