Actress Alia Bhatt, on Thursday evening hosted the Hope Gala to help the Salaam
Bombay foundation, that helps the underprivileged adolescents. It was attended by director Gurinder Chadha, Harshdeep Kaur and Roshan Joshi.
A glimpse of the event was shared by the official page of Mandarin Oriental, with Alia Bhatt in two looks. She wore a maroon velvet gown adorned with diamante detailing. Her second outfit was an off-white embroidered lace saree. Alia Bhatt actively participated in the event and her speech was moving. Musician Harshdeep Kaur captivated the attendees with her soulful performance.
The Hope Gala, is a charity event to support Salaam Bombay Foundation that works to empower the vulnerable children, through after school academics and in-school programs for a better tomorrow. These initiatives help to boost the morale and confidence of the kids and develop leadership qualities.
On the work front, Alia just finished shooting for Jigra, her upcoming film. She will be working soon with Sanjay Leela Bhansali in a project titled ‘Love and War.’ The film will star Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
