This movie, Silence 2, is a crime thriller with Manoj Bajpayee as the ACP. Written and directed by Aban Bharucha Deohans, the movie lacks lustre.
As the story goes, there has been a murder in a bar where 10 people have been killed. ACP, Avinash Verma alias Manoj Bajpayee, is all set to crack the case with all his team. The movie progresses at a slow pace, rather too slow for 2hrs 40b mins of its running time.
Each actor performs their part well however Prachi Desai is rather wasted. the team try hard to corelate every evidence, and Avinash gives a logic behind the events by using words like ‘splatter pattern’ and ‘trajectory’.
The dialogues are rather bold and mundane even repetitive. A wonderful plot with the base of human trafficking, the whole film was a dull experience. The narrative though narrative, does stretch and while there are several twists and turns in the story, it is not entirely convincing and leaves few unanswered questions.
An average thriller that could have been so much better. Playing on ZEE5, watch it if you have time.
