BTS has broken yet another record with their hit single ‘Dynamite’. The kpop band has
broken more records than we can count. The latest addition to the broken award list is
that Dynamite has crossed 1 Billion views! BTS’ single is the fastest kpop song to achieve
this feat.
The single ‘Dynamite’ was released on 21st August 2020. On 12th April, that is, within 7
months , it has managed to enter the prestigious 1 billion views club. Dynamite also
holds the record for highest views within 24 hours of it’s release. It managed to receive
101.1 million views and this made it Youtube’s moststreamed-within-a- day song.
Apart from Dynamite, BTS’ singles DNA and Boy with luv (ft. Halsey) have also
received a billion views.
The day Dynamite crossed 950 million views on Youtube, the hashtag ‘#Dynamiteto1B’
was spread across social media platforms. This helped the BTS Army to spread the word
around and get more views for the single.
Dynamite also helped BTS to earn their first Grammy nomination, which they sadly
could not win but they are now up for a Brit Award. They have won other awards like
the recent iHeartRadio award as well.
