I chanced on the movie by chance as I was going through Netflix. Nilesh Krishnaa’s film starring Nayanthara, a young girl who aims to be the best chef in the country and her dream to succeed urges her to take every step to see it happen.

Born in a Brahmin family to a father who cooks for a temple and opposes her to become a chef as she will have to cook non-veg, her aspirations give her the stigma to go against her families wishes. She tells her family that she has joined an MBA course but that’s a sham.

Pursuing her dream with all grit and determination, an untoward accident happens. While baking, the oven bursts and in the incident, she loses her sense of taste. Heartbroken, she resigns to fate and is ready to go back to her village and get married, however her mentor, the best Chef of the nation inspires her. He tells her that food cooked for the Lord is never tasted. A good chef cooks from the heart.

A nation-wide cooking contest happens and she decides to participate. She takes on the challenge and in spite of all jealousy and hurdles, she wins. An inspiring journey of a woman who overcomes every challenge in the way of her dreams. I absolutely loved it!
