The wait is finally over and the most tuneful song of the year is finally out! The release date of the song was announced yesterday by the leading lady of the film Alia Bhatt. Alia took to her Instagram account to share the song release information. She also shared the teaser of the first song from Gangubai Kathiawadi, “Dholida”.
The fans are very excited to see Alia’s performance in the song. As promised, the makers have released the first song from the film and we must say it’s going to be one of the best tuneful songs of the year.
In the song, Alia can be seen doing garba, wearing a white saree with a bun covered with flowers. Talented and versatile, the actress looks flawless in her Gangubai avatar. Following director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s vision, Alia will surely deliver the best performance. She shared the video on her Instagram handle and wrote, “An absolute dream come true to dance on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s music. My heart forever beats to Dholida.”
Gangubai Kathiawadi will release in theatres on 25th February, 2022. After the delay of many films releases in January due to Omicron scare, films are seem to be getting back to theatres once again.
Featuring Alia Bhatt in the main role, Gangubai Kathiawadi is a biographical crime drama, based on the life of a real sex worker mentioned in the book Mafia Queens of Mumbai by S. Hussain Zaidi. The film depicts a story of Ganga who was sold into prostitution by her suitor and later how she becomes the prominent figure in the underworld and also renowned madam of her brother in redlight area.
