August has a wide array of movies coming our way on the screen. 11th August is the date set for the release of Gadar 2 starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel. If the censor board approves OMG 2, we will also have Akshay Kumar’s movie release on the same date.
Bollywood wants to take advantage of the Independence Day holiday, and now the buzz is that ‘Ghoomer’ will also hit the screens in August as well. the movie starring Abhishek Bachchan, Salyami Kher and Shabana Azmi is gearing up for 18th August and the marketing campaign will start soon.
This movie is all set for its premiere at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, 2023 which is starting on the 11th August. The story is the saga of a female cricketer who after an injury, is determined to prove her mettle and learns to play with her left hand. Abhishek Bachchan is the coach who will lead her to be a great player. R Balki’s storyline is very inspiring, the paraplegic protagonist triumphs with her coach. According to a tweet for this movie, “Life, logic ka khel nahi…magic ka khel hai #GhoomerCinemas on 18th August.”
The director R Balki in a chat commented, “Ghoomer is a unique story. It’s almost like inventing a new ball in cricket. It is a story of a girl, a cricketer who loses her hand and how a person inspires her to be a champion. To me, this trip on ‘Ghoomer’ was to discover something new in sports.”
With an interesting storyline and great cast, we hope this will get rave reviews at the box office.
