Bollywood films are full with heroes who achieve their goals despite encountering several obstacles. While these characters are motivating, they are still fictional; the world is filled with real-life stories that provide more motivation. Actor Gourav Chaudhary has an amazing tale to tell. Gourav has overcome several obstacles on his road, but what sets him apart is that he never gave up. We spoke with him about his trip, and it reads like a Bollywood film. Gourav has realised his ambitions and gained success by balancing dream with drama in his narrative.
Gourav, who has wanted to be an actor since he was a youngster, began applying for parts after completing his 12th grade. His parents encouraged him to enrol in a course, but all he wanted to do was pursue a career as an actor. Gourav enrolled in a programme at Frankfinn Institute Mumbai to find a middle ground. This meant that his parents would be pleased that he wasn’t spending his time struggling, and he would be able to stay in Mumbai and audition. Gourav reflects on his path and grins as he recalls how he would occasionally miss lessons to attend auditions.
He obtained a position at an airline business after finishing his degree, but he couldn’t start since he was in an accident in his hometown. Gourav refers to it as fate because it was then that he learned about Musical.ly from his brother. He then began creating and sharing videos. Simultaneously, he began teaching children in his neighbourhood in order to supplement his income. His teaching business was flourishing, and he was receiving employment offers from schools. Gourav, on the other hand, was dead set on pursuing a career as an actor.
When TikTok was outlawed in India, he encountered yet another hurdle. By this time, he had amassed over 100,000 Instagram and YouTube followers. On Instagram, he currently has 740,000 followers. He has been signed as the exclusive content producer by Mx Takatak and has also done various branding tasks. He has 6.8 million followers. Gourav will be featured in a web series that will premiere on one of the OTT platforms soon, adding another feather to his cap. Gourav is ecstatic about his accomplishment and plans to appear in more web series in the future.
