Actress and Politician Nagma Arvind Morarji has been tested Covid-19 positive and is under home quarantine and urged people to take safety measures. The actress has already taken the first dose of the vaccination of novel corona virus on April 2.

Taking to twitter on Wednesday evening the actress shared the news and wrote, “Had taken my 1st dose of vaccine a few days ago tested for Covid-19 yesterday, my test has come ‘Positive’ so quarantined myself at home. All please take care and take all necessary precautions even after taking the 1st dose of vaccine do not get complacent in anyway manner #staysafe!”

After taking the first jab of the vaccination, she got fever, cough and cold. She shared the news on twitter, “Have taken my first dose of #CovidVaccine yesterday in Mumbai running temperature, having headache cold and cough, eyes are burning at the moment hope all is well and it ends soon have been advised by the doctor to stay at home for two days under observation.”

Nagma has acted in movies across various languages such as Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Bhojpuri, Punjabi, Marathi, Malayalam, Bengali and Kannada. In 1990, she made her debut from the Baaghi opposite Salman Khan. The movie was the seventh highest grossing film of the year. 

The actress is known for her work in movies like Gharana Mogudu, King Uncle, Suhaag, Lal Baadshah among others. Nagma came into politics in 2004 and joined Indian National Congress. In 2014, she contested in Lok Sabha elections from Meerut as Congress candidate but she lost the battle.
