Shekhar Suman’s son Adhyayan Suman started his career with Raaz 2, which did well at the box office. He later acted in Jashnn, which did reasonably well too, but after that he had a slack in his career.
In a recent interview, Adhyayan recalls the time when he had no offers. He stated, “It has been a long journey. There were times I felt tired, when I felt I wanted to give up, when there was absolute darkness and when you see light in the form of Heeramandi, which in turn for me is Mr. Bhansali, who is the light of my life.”
Adding to this, he said, “I don’t want to delve into the past but I have been through some tough times and he has been there through thick and thin. My mother is very emotional. While my father is quite emotional, he doesn’t share his feelings freely. A lot of times, I get to know his thoughts about me via his interviews.”
Adhyayan, feels his parents have been totally supportive. When he succumbed to drug abuse and alcoholism, his parents stood by him. He feels his father ‘spoilt’ him and even though, he had a luxurious life, he felt jailed in a 4-floor penthouse, due to lack of work. His desire to make his mark in the professional world, spurred him to seek out projects that resonated with his dreams.
