Yami Gautam has been in a number of successful Bollywood movies. When they see her, though, it appears that some people are reminded of her fairness cream commercial. When the actress went out to promote her new flim Bhoot Police on Wednesday, something similar happened.

Yami donned a white saree with a tank top instead of a blouse and gold embellishments for the event. Cameramen yelled out her name to get her attention as she posed for the paparazzi outside the marketing site.

One person, on the other hand, described her as “fair and beautiful.” Yami’s eyes widened, and she finally said, ‘Yes!’ She, on the other hand, burst out laughing. Yami rose to prominence after appearing in a commercial for the company. She worked with the company for several years. Following the Black Lives Matter movement in the United States last year, the brand received a facelift. It was chastised for creating unattainable beauty standards and stereotyping skin tones, prompting a name change. Yami also appears in new commercials.

Yami told up about getting harassed for her fairness advertisements during the Bala promotional tour in 2019. “I was very new to this industry when I was trolled. People didn’t realise it until Vicky Donor turned into an endorsement that I had a meeting with the company. ‘Listen, there’s no issue advertising the brand,’ I added.

You may get fairness and tanning creams in other countries. But the concept of demonstrating that not being fair is something to be dissatisfied with is incorrect.’ Perhaps the moniker Fair and Lovely has been kept, making it impossible to look past that, but the four faces have vanished. All of this ‘gorapan (fairness) ‘and the type of advertising that were created are thankfully no longer present.
